Job Description

Main Purpose of the Role: Registered Line Therapists (RLT) work directly with clients under the supervision of a licensed professional in our Applied Behavior Analysis department. RLTs provide high quality, therapeutic services to address communication, behavioral, social, and self-help delays as directed by their supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities (Full Time):

Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings following the treatment plan developed by the Licensed Behavior Analyst
Follow the prescribed skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols
Follow the prescribed toileting and self-help skills protocols such as dressing and tooth brushing.
Collect, record, and summarize data on client behavior as prescribed by the Licensed Behavior Analyst.
Accurately complete all therapeutic, supervision, and billing documentation within 24hrs of service completion.
Interact with staff, parents, and clients in a respectful and professional manner.
Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Licensed Behavior Analyst
Assist with parent and caregiver training as instructed by the Licensed Behavior Analyst
Assist with skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments as instructed by the Licensed Behavior Analyst.
Assist with preparation of client materials as instructed.
Utilize safe & appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.
Support and supervise clients during leisure activities including lunch and play time.
Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws.
Abide by the code of ethics as published by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment including sanitizing toys, work surfaces, and seats as necessary.
Maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-up.
Acquire and maintain technical knowledge by attending required trainings.
Accept constructive feedback and develop skill sets accordingly
Actively participate in supervision sessions with a supervisor which may include individual, small group, and large group settings.
Attend all required staff meetings.
Other tasks as assigned by the Licensed Behavior Analyst, Director of ABA Services, or Clinic Director.

Essential Job Functions:

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
Must be able to follow all prescribed treatment plans including but not limited to those developed for children who may engage in aggressive behaviors
Must be able to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
Must be able to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
Must be physically present at the assigned job location which may include clinic, school, and community placements.
Must complete required training course including teaching methods, policies and procedures, ethics, safety, and other topics.
Must acquire and maintain all required certifications including, but not limited to: CPR, Registered Line Technician certification through the Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board, and Registered Behavior Technician certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older
High-school diploma or national equivalent from an accredited institution is required; college degree is preferred.
Experience in education, child development, psychology, or Applied Behavior Analysis is preferred.
Experience working with individuals with autism and their families is preferred.
