- Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain optimal pricing and contract terms for goods and services.
- Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular supplier reviews to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial partnership.
- Stay informed about market trends, new technologies, and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to review and negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role within the energy industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with energy industry regulations and standards.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CIPS) will be considered a plus.
