Director, Materials and Logistics

Position Overview
Utilize MRP to identify gaps I supply and act to close
Work with production planners to balance the flow of materials with production and customer demand
Interact with Logistics and other Supply Chain functions to resolve barriers, expedite deliveries as needed and optimize daily operations
Independently manage a set group of suppliers and their associated inventories across our three manufacturing plants
Work towards impactful goals to reduce inventory and improve cash flow with a cross-functional team
Respond in a timely manner to MRP action messages generated by ERP system

Work closely with TBC Demand Planning, Customer Service Department, and Manufacturing Departments to manage dynamic environment in order to maximize on- on-time delivery performance metrics while minimizing inventory in all of its forms.

Aggressively analyze and manage Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) safety stock, lead-time, economic order quantity and other key planning parameters for manufactured detail components, sub-assembly components, raw materials and finished goods items.

Work to optimize processes and systems related to production planning and related analytics.
Excellent knowledge of Purchasing and Inventory Control, including use of MRP and the ability to make effective decisions on when and how much inventory to order
Source and evaluate potential suppliers
Basic Qualifications

:

High School Diploma plus Supply Chain Certification (APICS) and 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Logistics
Experience with ERP systems is required
Excellent analytic skills.
Strong grasp of forecasting and related tools, processes, and systems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, strong Excel skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Ability to solve complex problems with creativity and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications

:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management with 1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Logistics.
PLEX ERP knowledge
CPIM Certification
Lean Six Sigma Certification
Salary Range:

$60k-$80k
