Job summary
Spend time with various departments and teammates to help understand the life-cycle of steel with Nucor mills to maximize raw materials and profits Shadow experienced teammates and learn how they develop new and grow existing relationships with customers (both suppliers and consumers) to further strengthen relationships Strengthen team-building skills while working with other interns on assigned projects attend the Nucor Intern Summit with other DJJ & Nucor interns Attending customer meetings participate in tours of Steel Mills Scrap Yards Paid overnight travel to supplier consumer sites as well as other divisions within Nucor Participating in staff meetings hands-on strategic planning In depth exposure to the logistics involved in the scrap/metal trade Ability to present projects findings throughout the summer leadership teams Safety is most important part all jobs within Nucor candidates must demonstrate ability initiate lead uphold safety policies practices procedures housekeeping standards times Undergraduate student going into Junior Senior year Finance/Accounting Valid state Driver's License Major Finance/Accounting Excellent verbal written communication skills Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint experience required High level professionalism ability work myriad professionals industry
