    Basic Purpose:
    Manage the submission process on behalf of Producers and Relationship Managers. This is not a client facing sales role.

    This role includes managing, maintaining, and qualify leads as well as completing applications needed and managing new and renewal business submissions to insurance carriers and brokers, ensuring the growth and retention of the agency's book of business.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    Manage, Maintain, and qualify leads for the sales team.
    Act as our internal broker by managing the quoting process from submission creation binding.
    Create, review, and submit applications to underwriters and brokers; communicate with them to request quotes, and answer questions and/or

    requests.
    Obtain and review quotes to verify accuracy, request changes when needed, and provide to the Producer or Relationship Manager.
    Create proposals/consent to bind documents needed to bind and protect the agency.
    Create financing agreements for all agency-billed quotes.

    Utilize agency systems for tracking and reporting, set priorities, and independently manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of submissions and leads.

    Keep informed about current market appetites and capabilities.
    Proactively seek ways to provide management with process/systems improvements.
    Use critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and initiative to identify solutions and resolve them independently.
    Make positive contributions with creating and updating the documentation of processes and procedures.
    Backup the Operations team as available.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    Travel 5% to 10% annually.
    Previous P&C account service experience, preferred.
    2-5 years experience working in commercial lines in a P&C agency, required.
    Experience with Admitted, Excess, and Surplus Lines Insurance, preferred.
    Willing to work toward obtaining an insurance designation such as CISR or CIC.
    Strong communication skills with the ability to verbalize clearly and succinctly, to listen effectively, and to write professionally.
    Personal attributes should include creativity, organization skills, enthusiasm, and motivation with a strong work ethic.

    Highly skilled in personal relationship building to foster and build a strong trust relationship between GuideStone and its P&C prospects and clients.

    Must hold an active P&C license in state of residence and have the ability to be P&C licensed in additional states as required.

    Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures.
    Experience working with ACORD Forms, Applied Epic or other Agency Management Software, and CRM/Dynamics preferred.
