We are on the lookout for a skilled Senior Lead Marine Outboard Mechanic Technician for our boat yard in Southwest Harbor, Maine. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of various outboard motors, adept at troubleshooting, repairs, and handling stern drives and outdrives. Additionally, the candidate must be capable of understanding job specifications, instruction manuals, and manufacturer's handbooks, and interacting with customers. Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical systems of boats, as well as experience in installing new outboard engines with controls and accessories, are necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Proficiency in servicing a variety of outboard engines like Mercury, Honda, Evinrude, Suzuki, and Yamaha.
• Experience in all aspects of sterndrive and outboard maintenance and repairs.
• Skilled in diagnosing electrical issues.
• Collaborative attitude towards teamwork.
• Occasional local travel may be required.
• Regular cleaning and maintenance of all equipment.
• Effective troubleshooting of equipment problems.
• Assisting with other mechanical systems in the workshop as necessary.
• Availability for overtime when required.
• Openness to participate in OEM technical training for self-improvement.
• Flexibility to take on different roles within the department to support team objectives.
