    Job Posting: School Based Special Education Teacher (SPED) Contract

    Location: Bridgeport, TX

    Soliant, along with its affiliates, is proud to partner with school districts in the Bridgeport, TX area to provide students with the services they need for a successful future. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher (SPED) for a school-based contract position.

    Educational and Licensing Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
    • Valid teaching certification in Special Education or ability to obtain certification.
    • Additional certifications or endorsements may be required based on state and district requirements.
    • At least one year of recent experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
    • Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in inclusive or specialized settings.
    • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to ensure students' needs are met in the least restrictive environment.
    • Use evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations to differentiate instruction and address students' diverse learning needs.
    • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
    • Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to provide updates on students' progress and collaborate on educational goals.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, parent conferences, and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings as required.
