Analytical ChemistJob Description
We are seeking an Analytical Chemist to perform a range of analytical testing including High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC), Dissolution, and other chromatographic methods.
You will engage in various wet chemistry and physical property testing for quality control of samples, including pH, sulfated ash, titrations, Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), and more.
Your responsibilities will also include sample preparation of raw material, intermediate, and finished product samples for analytical testing, along with sample logging and documentation in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
You will perform stability testing following established protocols and partake in the disposal of samples and lab clean-up duties as required.
ResponsibilitiesConduct analytical testing including HPLC, UPLC, Dissolution, and other chromatographic methods.
Perform a variety of wet chemistry and physical property testing for QC of samples, including pH, sulfated ash, titrations, and TLC.
Prepare samples of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products for analytical testing.Log and document samples according to GMP guidelines.
Perform stability testing following established protocols.
Dispose of samples and conduct lab clean-up duties as needed.
Support routine testing workload in the Analytical R&D Lab when not focused on individual projects.
Essential Skills
Strong experience with HPLC or UPLC (Agilent systems preferred).
3-5+ years of industry experience in Analytical R&D or QC in a GMP environment.
Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
Experience with Dissolution and Method Validation/Development is a plus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field; a Master's degree is acceptable.
Experience with Waters instrumentation is not desirable but considered.
Work Environment
You will be working in an R&D Analytical Lab with a team of six analytical team members, supervised by a manager.
This position is approved for all of 2026, offering you the opportunity to work on exciting new projects and products within a smaller team where your impact will be felt.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Bridgeton, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $ $36.00/hr.
