    Position Overview:
    The Engineering Manager oversees engineering activities to optimize operational efficiency, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and drive profitability.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
    Developing and implementing organizational policies and objectives through subordinate personnel.
    Managing departmental activities to improve operational efficiency.
    Leading engineering initiatives for agricultural equipment design, manufacture, and construction.

    Supervises and assigns tasks related to the installation of equipment and instruments used for evaluating and processing farm products, as well as for automating agricultural operations.

    Analyzing data to assess the feasibility of product proposals and managing testing procedures.
    Direct manufacturing or building activities for prototype products or systems.
    Collaborating with research and engineering teams to prepare design modifications.
    Assessing technology trends and market demand to inform project feasibility assessments.
    Representing the organization in industry associations and handling personnel actions.
    Engaging with stakeholders to align manufacturing objectives with company goals.


    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    This position supervises multiple functions (Drill Engineering, Technical Publications, Electrical/Technology Engineering, Planter Engineering, Tooling Design and Build.
    Approximately 50 individuals report into this position through 5 subordinate supervisors.


    Qualifications:

    Education and Experience:
    A Master's degree or equivalent, or four to ten years of relevant experience and/or training.

    Language Skills:
    Proficiency in analyzing documents and presenting information effectively.

    Mathematical Skills:
    Strong understanding of mathematical concepts, including statistical analysis techniques.

    Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to apply logical and scientific thinking to solve complex problems.

    Computer Skills:
    Proficiency in word processing, internet usage, spreadsheets, and software applications.
