- Assisting with window repair; light cover installation; ceiling tile installation; furniture and equipment moving and transportation; maintenance on restroom stalls and hardware; restroom fixture and drain maintenance; work order generation; inventory and stocking of supply areas; smoke detectors and batteries; performing other light maintenance duties as required
- Logging all maintenance performed including time and material usages; reporting any facility deficiency into our work order system; and referring requests beyond scope of authority to appropriate personnel.
- Presenting a professional image
- Documenting and reporting building needs
- Using equipment and products responsibly, safely, and efficiently
- Performing all maintenance functions to meet established quality standards; and observing and using proper safety precautions and procedures in all job functions
- Participating in staff meetings and training; assisting during emergencies (floods, snow, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned
- Working in a team to accomplish goals
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Must be a University of Idaho Student
- Experience:
- Working in construction or building maintenance
- Using power tools and equipment
- Expressed interest in learning and acquiring skills related to building maintenance
- Bend, stoop and work in awkward positions for several hours at a time
- Climb and work from ladders, scaffolding and scissor lifts
- Carry, lift or otherwise move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Moving about continuously throughout the workday
- Work in inclement weather conditions
