ESS- BUYER (On Site)

Purpose

The Buyer is responsible for the negotiation and release of purchase orders at the right time, right quantity and within specific targets and budgets.

The successful candidate will display a strong ability to use MRP/ERP system to procure equipment in many locations throughout the globe.

In addition, experience working with providers of electronic components, electrical harness, HVAC systems is a plus.

Responsibility of Buyer

Solicits suppliers for material, products and services through formal request for quote to include competitive and single/source.
Must possess the ability to effectively communicate both orally and written when dealing with both customers and suppliers.
Assist to resolve problems and issues with suppliers involving delivery, quantity, or damage issues.
Strong attention to detail/Target driven.
Working knowledge of shipping documentation.
Process requisitions into purchase orders using ERP system.
Stay current on contracts and pricing agreements.
Generate and analyze reports related to procurement.
Drive on-time delivery for all external purchasing.
Work with suppliers worldwide to ensure supply of quality products.
Consistently seek improvement opportunities for procurement process and initiate changes by initiating workflows and work procedures.
Contribute to the timely and proper payment of invoices by communicating with vendors and accounts payable.
Ability to effectively work both independently and in teams.

Qualifications / Requirements

Excellent Microsoft Office skills - (Strong in Excel).
Bachelors in business administration / Finance / Management / Marketing or other relevant discipline is a plus.
5+ years procurement experience.
Fully fluent in English. Spanish speaking a plus.
May require occasional travel.
Position will be onsite at the Jacksonville, Florida location.
