- Coordinates and supervises clinical training, education, orientation and development for a variety of staff roles.
- Identifies staff learning needs.
- Develops education plans based on needs assessment.
- Designs and develops educational curriculum, tools, and materials.
- Facilitates/delivers staff education.
- Coaches, mentors and teaches in the clinical area.
- Manages orientation processes and clinical training of new staff.
- Provides preceptor training, ongoing education and support.
- Assesses and evaluates staff competence.
- Maintains records of staff education.
- Ensures that staff have education which meets regulatory requirements.
- Coordinates student clinical experiences.
- May coordinate "skills day" or other education events.
- May assist in planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating patient care activities and management activities.
- May contribute to coaching and performance management.
- May develop training tools for process improvement initiatives.
- May participate in candidate interviews.
- May evaluate performance related to clinical quality goals.
- May conduct or observe safety drills to evaluate staff preparedness and address gaps.
- Participates with leaders in continuous improvement activities.
- Develops tools.
- Facilitates huddles and other communication venues.
- Facilitates data collection.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2 to 5 years in clinical experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- 0 to 2 years in teaching/facilitation experience
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required for Minnesota practice settings upon hire
- Licensed Registered Nurse - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required as needed for primary assigned Wisconsin practice settings upon hire
- BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required American Heart Association or Allina Health upon hire
- Light Work:
