    Reporting to the Learning and Development Director, Learning and Development Specialist is to facilitate the delivery of learning initiatives within the organization. This entails managing administrative tasks related to course enrollment, scheduling, resource allocation, while also serving as the system administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS). This role is responsible for facilitating the employee performance review process and new employee orientation.

    Essential Functions

    • Handles administrative tasks such as course enrollment, design schedules, availability of space, and equipment.
    • Serves as the system administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS), UKG Pro Learning.
    • Ensure learning materials and course offerings in the LMS are kept up to date.
    • Tracks learning programs through the LMS and provides training metrics.
    • Builds online course in LMS with subject-matter experts.
    • Works with Learning & Development Director to outline annual development plans.
    • Conducts new employee orientation for new hires.
    • Administers the annual employee performance review process.
    • Launch and monitor new hire and annual training activities (ANCRA, Drug & Alcohol Policy, EIG and Doctrinal statement).
    • Makes recommendations for the best application of technology in designing, delivery, and evaluation of development programs.
    • Keeps abreast of and remains current on the latest industry technology, tools and trends in e-learning education and instructional media.
    • Deploys e-learning initiatives.
    • Uses Microsoft Office (e.g. Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools for online learning.
    • Other related duties as assigned by the Learning and Development Director.
    Minimum Requirements
    • Three years of relevant experience in corporate learning and development, including administration of an LMS.
    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, learning and development, business, information technology, education, or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Keen customer service skills which include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving
    • Strong technical skills.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize duties, and use good judgment.
    • Must be a team player who promotes Moody-wide initiatives in a positive manner.
    • Authorized to work in the US legally, without sponsorship
    Preferred Requirements
    • Experience in e-learning and in-depth knowledge of LMS, preferably UKG Learning or Schoox.
    • Experience using HRIS platform, preferably UKG Pro or Ultimate.
    • Strong interest in learning and embraces all types of employee development.
    • Keen creativity in thinking of ways to improve peoples' skills and competencies.
    • Experience creating, planning and running employee development programs.
    • Experience conducting and interpreting needs assessments.
    • Impeccable commitment to acting with integrity and engaging in ethical conduct, without exception, to foster and maintain trusted relationships across the organization.

    This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday, typically between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position is hybrid, requiring at least two days in our downtown Chicago office.

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
