    Job Description:
    We seek a highly motivated and skilled Soup Kitchen Cook/Kitchen Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee our soup kitchen's daily operations, including meal preparation for our youth job training program and three adult homeless shelters.

    Responsibilities:
    • Plan and prepare meals for approximately 300 individuals daily, including 100 breakfast options and 200 lunch and dinner options.
    • Conduct inventory searches and create menus based on available stock, ensuring efficient use of resources.
    • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
    • Coordinate with other staff members to ensure timely meal service and smooth kitchen operations.
    • Monitor food quality and ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines.
    • Complete electronic data collections related to meal counts and inventory management.
    • Drive to various locations within the State of New Jersey as needed.
    Qualifications:
    • Certified in NJ Food Handler's Safety.
    • Previous experience in food service management, preferably in a soup kitchen or similar setting.
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise staff effectively.
    • Knowledge of inventory management and menu planning techniques.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
