  • Position Summary:

    Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN. Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication. Documents patient care given. Assists RN with development of plan of care. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an LPN program.
  • Current license as an LPN in New Mexico or compact license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • ACLS is required for all areas where moderate sedation is performed.
  • New Hires/Transfers: Requires that BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment and 1 year for ACLS.
  • Experience within an Acute Care Facility preferred
  • If currently certified, must maintain current certification. Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
