    Job Summary
    Primary Transportation Services Inc is seeking an experienced Over-the-Road (OTR) Regional Truck Driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. This position plays a vital role in transporting finished goods and raw materials across regional routes, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with transportation regulations.
    Key Responsibilities

    • Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants, retail locations, and distribution centers
    • Safely operate and maintain a Class A commercial vehicle, adhering to DOT regulations
    • Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimize efficiency
    • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, performing routine preventative maintenance
    • Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring proper freight handling
    • Collect and verify delivery instructions to ensure accurate shipments
    • Document and log work/rest periods, mileage, and fuel/toll receipts
    • Input data into automated systems, including macros for loading/unloading stages
    • Comply with truck driving rules and company policies, including regulations on size, weight, parking, and break periods
    • Report defects, accidents, or violations in a timely manner
    Qualifications
    • Proven work experience as a truck driver, preferably in OTR/regional trucking
    • Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB radio, etc.)
    • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly across regional routes
    • Extensive knowledge of truck driving rules, regulations, and DOT compliance
    • Strong adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, delays)
    • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and DOT medical certification
    • Commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork
