    Job Description:

    Zurich North America seeks a VP & Actuary to lead and manage the Commercial Auto Pricing team. This senior actuarial role provides insights for the Commercial Auto Portfolio.

    The Technical Underwriting, Commercial Auto Pricing team is responsible for delivering the Auto product pricing, representing over one billion dollars of premium annually for Zurich North America.

    This position reports to the Head of Casualty Pricing and works on a team with other LOB Pricing Managers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Partner with Business Unit Actuarial, Underwriting, and Reserving functions
    2. Detailed pricing analysis, including rate development, rating plans, and portfolio management strategies
    3. Manage trend analyses, loss development factors, and parameter updates
    4. Provide input into the Technical Virtuous Circle for Auto portfolios
    5. Support actuarial, statistical, and IT functions for current pricing tools
    6. Lead pricing tool monitoring, including Power BI knowledge
    7. Establish governance and monitoring frameworks
    8. Support Virtuous Circle and AvE meetings
    9. Provide rate filing support and evaluate pricing levels
    10. Develop and maintain excellent communication within and between teams
    11. Participate in finance and underwriting decision processes, providing independent challenge
    12. Lead, manage, and mentor actuarial staff, developing Individual Development Plans and performance appraisals

    Basic Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in Actuarial, FCAS or equivalent international certification
    2. Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of experience in Actuarial, ACAS or equivalent international certification

    Preferred Qualifications:

    1. Experience in Commercial Auto
    2. Multifunctional experience in pricing, reserving, capital management, and technical knowledge
    3. Proficiency in pricing studies, rate indications, trend studies, parameter analysis, and Pricing Tools
    4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with technical results and recommendations sharing abilities
    5. Leadership experience in actuarial teams, with technical knowledge and multi-level leadership skills
    6. Strong collaboration, conflict resolution, and execution skills
    7. Executive presence, influencing skills, and ability to interact across all organizational levels
    8. Track record of fostering business improvement and delivering change in a complex insurance environment
