    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Formulate statistical data for use by management in evaluating and improving field operations.
  • Review and manage process improvement activities and administration.
  • Conduct on-site visits to evaluate safety policies and procedures and effectiveness of programs.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal programs, such as OSHA and DOT.
  • Monitor and evaluate branch operations process and procedures effectiveness.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of records, logs, documents, files or databases for use in monitoring, tracking and trending program/project costs, resources and schedules.
  • Assist in preparation and management of request for proposals.
  • Assist with the coordination of facility improvements, relocations and movers.
  • Establish performance measures and align business objectives to quantifiable improvement results.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of records, logs, documents, files or databases for use in monitoring, tracking and trending program/project costs, resources and schedules.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Manage and facilitate corporate programs and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in Safety, Risk Management and Project Management.
  • Demonstrated experience in a multi-location distribution environment utilizing technology (e.g. scanning, bin locators, etc.)
  • Outstanding management talent, highly motivated and able to influence and motivate others with strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written, verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and self-motivated.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to multi-task, work independently and interact effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Strong business acumen and technical aptitude.
  • Able to travel as required (30-40%).
  • Proficient in MS Office, (advanced Excel skills)
  • AS400 experience a plus.

    Summary:

    The Manager of Operations key areas of focus: 1) Play key role with Director of Operations in leading the effort to implement operational process efficiencies focusing on utilizing technology to streamline and automate processes and functions and 2) Provide support leadership, direction and oversight in all aspects of safety for the organization to include personnel, facilities and vehicles. The successful incumbent will utilize strong technical skills in data mining, database management and clean up.
