    Job Summary

    As an IT Helpdesk Technician, the individual will play a critical role in providing comprehensive technical support to both the corporate office and restaurants, ensuring uninterrupted operations and timely resolution of technical issues.

    While network administration remains a crucial aspect of the role, the primary focus will be on delivering exceptional IT support services across the organization.

    This is a full-time position based at the corporate headquarters, with occasional travel to restaurant locations as needed.

    The IT Helpdesk Technician will report to the IT Manager/Director and collaborate closely with other members of the IT team to provide essential technical support services and ensure the seamless operation of the network infrastructure.

    Responsibilities:


    • Provide level 1 and 2 technical support to corporate office staff, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and effectively.
    • Act as an escalation point for restaurant IT support, assisting in troubleshooting complex technical issues and coordinating with third-party vendors when necessary.
    • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize network configurations to ensure reliability and performance across all restaurant locations.
    • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to protect corporate and restaurant data.
    • Conduct regular backups, implement disaster recovery plans, and ensure data integrity and business continuity across all locations.
    • Provide training and support to restaurant staff on IT-related issues, including point-of-sale systems and other technology platforms.
    • Assist in diagnosis and resolution of network and telecommunication issues.
    • Set up and manage various user accounts, including new hires, terminations, and new group email accounts
    • Assist remote users with technical issues using products such as GoToAssist, Pulseway, or Connectwise.
    • Assist with handheld devices including iPhone, Android, etc.
    • Assist with onboarding of new users.
    • Provide maintenance/replacement support for workstations, printers, scanners, switches, and various peripherals including toner replacement.
    • Image, configure, and deploy desktops/laptops.
    • Provide remote and phone support for Toojay's staff in satellite offices and various locations using remote access tools.
    • Document internal procedures and create technical documentation
    • Assist in diagnosis and resolution of network and telecommunication issues.
    • Assist with implementation and maintenance of network and telecommunication systems.
    • Support users' needs within Premier by creating templates, designing reports, and/or working with vendors for system modifications.
    • Participate in data collection, such as Medicare quality measures and meaningful use.
    • Generate reports as requested by management staff.
    • Escalate more complex issues to the IT vendors.
    • Perform other duties as required.

    Requirements:


    Knowledge, Competencies, Physical and Skills Requirements


    • Associate degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in providing technical support, preferably in a multi-unit retail or restaurant environment.
    • Knowledge of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
    • An understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLANs.
    • Experience with network security technologies, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with team members, stakeholders, and end-users.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or CompTIA A+, are a plus.
    • Knowledge of Point of Sale and Restaurant Terminology a plus
