Position Summary
The PEO Consumer Representative serves as the primary point of contact for worksite employees and client companies within a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) model. This role supports payroll administration, benefits inquiries, HR compliance guidance, and employee relations matters under a co-employment structure. The position requires strong knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance, benefits administration, and customer service best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Client & Worksite Employee Support
- Serve as first-line support for client companies and worksite employees.
- Respond to inquiries regarding payroll, tax withholdings, benefits enrollment, timekeeping, and HR policies – Working in concert with HR Team.
- Provide guidance on co-employment responsibilities within the PEO structure.
- Maintain service-level agreements (SLAs) for response and resolution timeframes.
2. Payroll & Tax Support
- Assist with payroll processing inquiries, including wage calculations, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and garnishments.
- Support multi-state payroll tax compliance.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Coordinate with internal payroll specialists for escalated issues.
- Provide year-end support (W-2 inquiries, tax corrections, adjustments).
3. Benefits Administration – Work with HR Team
- Support open enrollment processes
- Assist employees with eligibility, qualifying life events, COBRA notices, and carrier coordination.
- Liaise with benefits carriers to resolve claims or coverage issues.
- Maintain accurate benefits data in the HRIS system.
4. HR Compliance & Documentation – Work with HR Team
- Support onboarding documentation (I-9 compliance, state new hire reporting).
- Assist with policy interpretation consistent with federal and state employment laws.
- Maintain confidential employee records in accordance with data privacy standards.
- Escalate employee relations concerns to HR Business Partners.
5. Account Management Support
- Assist with client onboarding and implementation.
- Participate in client check-ins and service reviews.
- Document interactions in CRM or HRIS systems.
- Identify cross-selling or service enhancement opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in payroll, HR administration(light Capacity), benefits, or PEO services.
- Working knowledge of:
- Multi-state wage and hour laws
- Payroll tax compliance
- FLSA and employment law fundamentals
- Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Isolved)
- Strong problem-solving and client communication skills.
- High attention to detail and confidentiality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a PEO or co-employment environment – Not Necessary
- Experience handling high-volume, multi-client service environments.
- Understanding of workers' compensation coordination within a PEO model.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
