    Team:
    Managing a team of 5 including the assistant controller, AR accountant, AP accountant, cost accountant, and sales accountant. You will report to the director of accounting.


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    Overall management of the finance department and oversight of the day-to-day activities of the accounting department. Overall responsibility for timely and accurate monthly financial reporting and analysis. Coordinate month end reporting with the other business segments and month end consolidation. Oversee and coordinate the annual financial statement audit and income tax requirements. Interface with outside insurance agent, credit card companies and collection agencies on an as needed basis.

    Respond to inquiries from the CFO and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests.

    Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.

    Prepare / Overview and review balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts for the wholesale processing, retail store and real estate operating entities Prepare and track all treasury functions including the reconciliation of all the Companys bank accounts and debt service on its loan obligations.

    Review for accuracy and completeness all sales related commissions & brokerage including all incentive pay programs. Provide financial analysis to evaluate special projects, capital expenditures, product costing and other special project analysis as necessary. Support budget and forecasting activities.

    Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy and internal control structure.

    Learn the companys ERP system and develop expertise to provide leadership and guidance to other members of the company.

    Take a leadership role in the implementation of the companys new ERP system Work with the HR department to handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, within the finance team.

    Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each fiscal year. Monitor and provide periodic feedback progress toward goals and objectives to enhance the professional development of staff.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY Manage the day-to-day and overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Controller, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit and Cost Accounting Personnel.

    Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

    Additional responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, rewarding, disciplining employees, performance reviews, and addressing complaints and resolving problems for all direct and indirect reports.

    QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor Degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university. BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting strongly preferred. A least 8 years of related accounting experience in a manufacturing company. Cannabis or Agricultural Company experience is a plus. CPA or CMA is preferred.

    SKILLS Must be well experienced and proficient in the application of GAAP to all areas of bookkeeping, payroll, budgets, statistical analysis, probability and financial statements.

    Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -paced setting. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other large automated accounting system a plus. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.

    Strong base of knowledge in inventory costing and valuation in a ERP environment, understanding of cost accounting, bill of materials and product margin analysis.

    Ability to respond effectively to complex situations. Must possess critical thinking and problem solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
