- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project scope and requirements
- Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and cost analyses for labor, materials, and equipment
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals
- Prepare comprehensive and detailed cost estimates using industry-standard software
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop cost-effective solutions
- Present estimates to clients and participate in bid negotiations as needed
- Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and market conditions
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience as an estimator in the commercial construction industry
- Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
