- Understand the food ecosystem in Anson County
- Facilitate recipe development by Equiti Foods and taste testing in Anson County
- Work with local health inspectors on approval of community kitchens to produce Good Bowls
- Work with the Collective Impact Hub on efforts relevant to the Food is Medicine campaign
- Conduct literature reviews on associations between social isolation, loneliness, and nutrition
- Knowledge of food and nutrition practices, community engagement, and public health, time management and research experience
- Strong commitment to community-engaged work
- Experience working with the food system - agriculture, food production, etc.
- Strong interest in nutrition and public health
- Strong communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Driver's License (NC preferred)

Position Summary
The Research Assistant will be responsible for coordinating efforts between Equiti Foods, the Caraway Foundation, and the NC CEAL Collective Impact Hub to:
Facilitate collaboration with the Sandhills Adinnovation Center to source local food for Good Bowls production in Anson County, including Grade B products
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
