Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Specialist at XYZ Pharmacy

About the Position:

Major Responsibilities:

Performs services and functions within assigned area(s) where complex pharmaceutical processes require advanced skills and knowledge. Works in remote medication histories.
Serves as an expert with equipment and technology in a specialized area, solving technical issues as they arise.
Identifies quality improvement opportunities and supports operational changes to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
Complies with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
Serves as a resource for other pharmacy team members, physicians, and nurses.
Collaborates with department leaders on team member education and training.
Liaisons with system pharmacy teams in specialty area.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or Pharmacy Technician Certified (CPhT).
Licensure in the state for medication history services.

Education Required:

High School Graduate.

Experience Required:

Requires 5 years of hospital or retail pharmacy technician experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Good mathematics skills.
Attention to details.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional customer service and problem resolution skills.
Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to perform various physical activities such as lifting, bending, and reaching.
Ability to lift and carry specified weight limits.
