    redi-Group is a quality service provider to the automotive and manufacturing industry. We are currently looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person who is looking for a career in logistics. You would be part of a great team at the BMW facility in the Upstate of SC. Greenville is a wonderful, multicultural city and one of the top cities to move to in the United States. Located between Charlotte and Atlanta, the Blue Ridge Mountains are close by, and it is only a 3-hour drive to Charleston, SC with its beautiful beaches. Greenville offers museums, theatres and music venues, numerous craft breweries, fantastic parks, a diverse restaurant scene and tons of outdoor activities.

    Position Summary

    The Logistics Quality Specialist (LQS) support and ensure supplier readiness for product launches and support during total product life.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Evaluates supplier logistics infrastructure, process capability and effectiveness
    • Performing audits to verify supplier readiness of the BMW logistic requirements
    • Responsible for Logistic Risk assessments at the supplier for the logistic process-flow
    • Responsible of monitoring and closing all logistic complains using the 8D process.
    • Determines, evaluates and provides priority of resource allocation based on the monthly supplier ratings
    • Represents BMW in a professional manner in dealing with suppliers.
    • Initiates and manages supplier meetings.
    • On-site support at supplier for implementation of the JIS/JIT requirements
    • Strongly involved in wrong delivery prevention activities and process improvement activities.
    • Document activities of the logistics' complaint reports in the appropriate system.
    • Manage any support associates in the overall logistics' quality management process.
    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
    • BS/BA degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Industrial Management, master's in industrial engineering, preferred, or
    • 7 years' experience in Supply Chain Management/Logistics in automotive manufacturing
    • 3-5 years' experience in quality and/or logistics within the automotive industry.
    • Knowledge and experience in Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
    • Knowledge of SAP and the BMW systems.
    • German and Spanish language skills, plus.
