    New York Plastic Surgical Group is looking for an IT rock star to join our Garden City, NY office.

    The IT Intern is primarily responsible for resolving end-user IT and application issues to support the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), other clinical and non-clinical systems, as well as general operations across the practice.This integral member of the IT department also participates in all aspects of implementation including analysis, development, training, and other support-related activities.Works directly with management and other team members on a variety of projects to help IT meet its short- and long-term goals.

    Day to Day Responsibilities:

    1. Work with IT members on various levels
    2. Aid in software installations, maintenance, and network troubleshooting
    3. Assist in fulfilling all incoming service requests and staff requests
    Essential Qualifications:

    •Currently enrolled in or graduated from an accredited Bachelor's degree or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Sciences or other relevant field

    •Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

    •Relevant experience in place of education is also acceptable

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    • The ability to work off-hours and weekends for go-lives, testing, and emergencies, as well as travel between office locations, is required
    • Frequent meetings or clinical staff interactions in typical patient care areas are required
    • Occasional direct patient exposure is not expected though incidental exposure will be routine
    *This is a full-time opportunity. Must be able to work Saturdays*

    Compensation: $18.00/hr
