    General Purpose

    We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Police Service Technician to join our team. As a Police Service Technician, you will perform a variety of administrative police support services, including answering phones, making and providing copies of records, handling and balancing U.S. Currency, receiving and processing counter reports, monitoring security stations, and providing exceptional internal/external customer service.

    Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.

    The hiring range is $44,317-55,396/annually ($21.31-$26.63 hourly)

    Minimum Qualifications

    High School diploma or equivalent; at least two years of customer service and general clerical, or police records management experience; and, at least two years of computer experience in data entry or retrieval, word processing, data management or information technology. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred; experience in shift work, judicial or law enforcement records management and/or CCIC/NCIC experience is preferred; and, advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite or 365 is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. Must qualify for FBI certification to access the Criminal Justice Information System; qualification includes no felony conviction of any kind. Must be able to be certified as a Notary Public.

    PAID TIME-OFF BENEFITS:

    • General Leave: Leave banks are granted to employees after six months of full-time employment. General Leave may be used for vacations, personal business, illness, or other reasons as requested by the employee and approved by his/her supervisor.

The employee must have successfully completed their 6-month Introductory Period for eligibility.
    • Recreation Center Membership: Employees and family members are eligible for a membership to the Commerce City Recreation Center for $5.00 per person per year.
    • Golf Course Green Fees: Employees can play the City's award-winning Buffalo Run Golf Course at a rate of $9.00 for 9-holes or $18.00 for 18-holes. Employees can also purchase golf merchandise at discounted prices.
