Position Overview
Better Direct AI is seeking a dynamic Project Manager – Services & Sales Support to join our Tempe, AZ team onsite. This hybrid role is critical for bridging project execution and sales enablement, leading installation projects while partnering with Sales Executives to convert opportunities into successful client deployments. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable managing technical installation projects and collaborating on pre-sales activities, ensuring a seamless experience from client engagement to project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
· Lead end-to-end installation and integration projects for AI hardware and software, including planning, scheduling, and on-site deployment.
· Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources effectively, and track milestones to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
· Manage project risks, resolve issues proactively, and communicate progress to internal teams and clients.
· Coordinate internal teams including AV technicians, engineers, and logistics personnel to ensure operational excellence.
Sales Collaboration & Support
· Work closely with Sales Executives to assess client installation opportunities and provide technical guidance during the pre-sales process.
· Translate client requirements into actionable project scopes, timelines, and resource estimates to support proposals and quotes.
· Assist in developing sales presentations, installation solutions, and value propositions that align with client needs.
· Provide insights on project feasibility, cost, and timelines to help the sales team secure new business.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
· Serve as the primary on-site and virtual point of contact for clients during project execution.
· Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, addressing questions, providing updates, and ensuring satisfaction.
· Conduct post-installation evaluations and lessons-learned sessions to inform future projects and sales strategies.
Operational & Logistical Oversight
· Oversee scheduling, site preparation, equipment staging, and logistics for installations.
· Ensure compliance with safety standards, internal quality procedures, and client requirements.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency across services projects.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
· 3–5+ years of project management experience in technology, AI, AV, or hardware installation services.
· Demonstrated experience supporting sales teams with pre-sales technical or project guidance.
· Strong understanding of installation, integration, and deployment processes for hardware and software solutions.
· Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
· Client-facing experience with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
· Must be able to work onsite in Tempe, AZ, with occasional travel to client locations.
