    Description

    Our beverage client is looking to bring on a Quality Assurance Auditor to their team on a fulltime basis, sitting in California or on the West Coast as this role will require travel.

    Responsibilities:

    • Travel to all production and co-manufacturing facilities on a regular basis.
    • Develop, manage, and maintain a documentation and record-keeping system for all quality control which includes: photos of facilities, lot numbers and lot dates, code dates, sensory analysis, and all documents completed onsite
    • Ensure all relevant information is captured, recorded and accurately entered in a timely manner on company's Google Drive
    • Monitor and document all aspects of the production Including raw materials, processing, packaging, and storage, to ensure adherence to quality specifications
    • Maintain an audit schedule for all production and co-manufacturing facilities
    • Facilitate the development and reporting of organizational metrics that lead to enhanced audit organization
    • Assess and provide feedback on the quality of corrective action plans to ensure the effective completion and mitigation of all risks
    • Be in the know of all industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in beverage and quality assurance.
    • Ensure Contract Manufacturing sites are adhering to the company's set Quality Standards and other relevant food safety standards set by customers we work with

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 4-6 years in an operational quality or food safety role within a leading food or pharmaceutical manufacturing organization
    • HACCP Certification required
    • SQF, BRC, Internal Audit, and Better Process Control School Certification required.
    • Canning and Bottling Experience strongly preferred
    • Demonstrates effective communication skills (written, oral and presentation)
    • Experience with comprehensive root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
    • Demonstrates examples of use of these tools in the solving of quality problems/risk
    • Understanding of importance of technical governance in delivering a quality product
    • Demonstrates evidence of critical thinking, logic, patience, reasoning, continuous learning, and development
    • Ability to Travel up to 80%.
