Job Title:

Construction Inspector Level III

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Inspector to work on our Anne Arundel County Paving Contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites, including roadways, bridges, tunnels, and facilities, to verify adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Documenting and reporting any deviations, defects, or issues discovered during inspections.
• Coordinating with a team of inspectors and project managers to confirm activities comply with safety regulations and project requirements.
• Communicating with contractors, project stakeholders, and other team members to address construction-related concerns.
• Assisting with the review and interpretation of construction plans, special provisions, and technical documents.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed inspection records and reports.
• Participating in team meetings to foster a safe, collaborative work environment.

Core Requirements:

• A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• 3-10 years of relevant experience.
• A high school diploma or high school equivalent certification.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with eConstruction software, such as Fulcrum.
• Proficiency in math and English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk over rough and uneven terrain; stand for up to 12 hours a day on occasion; and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting; using hands to grasp and reach; raising hands above the head; sitting; climbing; and balancing.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrains.

Required Certifications:

• MDOT SHA Temporary Traffic Control Manager.
• Maryland Department of Environment Responsible Personnel Certification (RPC).
• OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety Training.
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I.
• Mid-Atlantic Region Technician Certification Program (MARTCP) Soils & Aggregate Compaction Technician, Asphalt Field Testing Technician Grade I, Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I, and Pavement Marking Technician.
