Purpose of Job:

The Senior Test Technician is responsible for conducting prescribed tests on technically complex electronic equipment and troubleshooting failures to the component level in a production environment using PC based tools.

Responsibilities:

Performs functional and operational tests on circuit boards and chassis in a fast-paced production environment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuit boards and systems down to the component level.
Support hardware validation and verification activities during development and production phases.
Interpret schematics PCP and Layouts, to diagnosed failures accurately.
Troubleshoot products using oscilloscopes and digital volt meters.
Configures and tests end products to meet customer and company specifications and requirements.
Configures test equipment to meet multiple testing requirements based on product and customer specifications.
Evaluates returned products for failures.
Maintains accurate documentation of product test results and updates troubleshooting logs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience performing functional test and diagnostics using custom PC based test equipment and software.
Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task to meet multiple deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work over time when needed.
Maintain safe working practices and comply with safety and quality standards.

Education:

Associate degree in electronic hardware systems engineering or equivalent from the military or technical school preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of electronic technician experience, including troubleshooting to the component level, in a production environment.
