- Patrols buildings and grounds to prevent and detect fire, burglary, vandalism, and mechanical malfunctions.
- Responds to disturbances and emergency situations, renders assistance including basic first aid if required.
- Talks and communicates with the public, other team members, and converses by radio and telephone as necessary to ensure quick respond to security related situations.
- Reports suspicious activity as required.
- Conducts safety inspections of the Casino during shift.
- Checks doors and windows, patrols Casino parking lots.
- Responds to requests for assistance in instances of fights or other disturbances.
- Confronts and detains unauthorized visitors.
- Removes customers from Casino as instructed.
- Reports unsafe emergency situations.
- Controls and directs crowds as special events, concerns, and other gatherings.
- Provides escort protection for team members if requested.
- Gives information and direction to customers and responds to complaints.
- Prepares required documentation of activities.
- Communicates effectively and professionally on a two-way radio.
- Observe and report any incidents that occur in the Casino.
- Provides traffic control assistance when required.
- Assist with medical emergencies alongside the fire department.
- Responsible for maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical business conduct.

Job DescriptionSUMMARY: Provide a safe environment for persons on Casino property, patrol and provide security for casino buildings and property, perform related work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, and/or ability required. Must pass initial drug screening, background investigation, random drug tests and credit check. This position is responsible for compliance with the Casino's internal control policy and procedure as it relates to the positions stated job description.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to talk and to communicate with the public, other employees, and converse by radio and telephone as necessary to ensure quick respond to security related situations. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, as well as to management and public groups.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. This position requires a strong commonsense factor and highly objective reasoning capabilities.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CPR and First Aid cards required.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands to finger coordination, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is also required on occasion to lift up to 50 pounds.
Special vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The employee is continuously subject to the effects of a smoke-filled environment and must be able to tolerate this environment when on the Casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increase to loud.
