Hi The role we are filling is one for an editor of a social media show that revolves around modern True Crime (everything from interrogation footage, bodycam arrests, and chilling true stories that can help viewers become more aware of the world around them). We understand it takes a very specific editor who is passionate about telling these kinds of disturbing stories, but if documenting these cases for video sounds like something you would like to be involved in, this is the job for you

Responsibilities:

• Editing at least one five minute vertical video once a week (we are open to giving the right person multiple videos per week depending on their current work situation).
• Implementing videos and photos provided by the writer, while also finding other useful clips to help tell each story.
• Monthly Call with the rest of the team to discuss new ideas and ways to improve the show.
• Candidates that are highly considered will be asked to edit a shorter version of a typical episode after being selected for an interview.

Qualifications:

• An ideal candidate has at least a year of professional video editing experience, preferably in the world of content creation.
• An ideal candidate already knows the tricks of editing for viewer retention.
• Candidates should be experienced in Premiere Pro.
• Candidates should have a portfolio of 3-5 edits they are most of proud of that should be attached.
• Somebody who consistently keeps up with pop culture trends, news, and gossip. If you are passionate about all things Celebrity, this is your show
• We don't care what your background is in terms of education, we are simply looking for the best editor possible
