    T1D Exchange is an innovative nonprofit company dedicated to improving care and accelerating therapies for people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D).

    We have developed a new patient-centered model that accelerates progress, connects key stakeholders, and links patient insight to all stages of research, development, and delivery of T1D solutions.

    The Associate Director, Real World Evidence will supervise the Real-World Data team.

    The candidate will design and implement statistical analyses for quantitative, qualitative, survey, and interventional research, as well as to help establish best practices for data analytic strategies and population health projects.

    As a member of the T1D Exchange Quality Improvement and Population Health Team, you will join an innovative team of experts using big data and predictive analytics to advance diabetes care.

    This position is remote within the US, with occasional travel to our Boston office.
    Responsible for preparation of study documents, reports, and presentations (e.g., abstracts, manuscripts, scientific posters) to summarize research findings.
    Ensure quality and consistency of analytics deliverables from the Real-World Data (RWD) team.
    Supervise and provide relevant training to members of the RWD team.

    Develop statistical analysis plans for research studies using industry standard statistical tools, ensuring scientific rigor, and serve as the analytical methodology expert for RWE EMR analyses.

    Review research data to summarize population demographics, identify trends within and across studies and extrapolate other statistical inferences to align with overall business objectives.

    Establish best practices for data management and review published works to produce world-class research methods and scientific reporting.
    Facilitate the Data Science Committee and serve as liaison with clinical co-chairs.
    Serve as Principal Investigator for real world data and industry sponsored projects.
    PhD in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, biology, or social sciences with at least 2 years of relevant healthcare experience.
    Highly skilled in advanced statistics programs such as R or Python for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
    Experience in dealing with extraction and manipulation of relational databases (SQL).
    Experience in advanced statistical techniques such as predictive statistical models, customer profiling, segmentation analysis and data mining.
    Experience of analyzing large data sets to develop custom models and algorithms to drive solutions.

    Highly skilled in clinical and/or socio-behavioral data analysis models, such as multiple regressions, logistic regressions, survival analysis, generalized linear modeling, and other common hypothesis testing models.

    Experience with advanced modeling, such as predictive models, multivariate models, and data mining.
    Experience with longitudinal data and/or clinical data is highly desirable.
    Experience building and managing large data sets from multiple sources to build algorithms for predicting future data characteristics.

    Proficient in summarizing results and conclusions for scientific presentations/manuscripts with the ability to translate and present complex analyses into key points for presentation for a variety of audiences.

    Experience handling confidential information and familiarity with privacy/HIPAA requirements.

    ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, donors, researchers, physicians, corporate leaders community leaders and other professionals.
