What Program and Project Management contributes to Cardinal HealthProgram/Project Management is responsible for planning, developing, communicating, implementation, and evaluating programs that involve working with external entities and their corresponding resources as well as with the company's internal resources.
May manage project and/or program managers within assigned program and/or project.Works within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.
Enterprise Strategy, Planning, and Execution enables the organization to drive complex and transformational programs through disciplined project/program management and change management strategies.
ResponsibilitiesPlay a key role in ensuring projects (change initiatives) meet objectives
Team engagement awareness and communication
Documenting change impacts, current process mapping and changes to process
Ensuring stakeholders are aware of new solutions, updates, changes and projects across impacted teams
Supporting cross functional/functional activities
Support and engage senior leaders
Track and report change management adoption and success
Collaborate with cross-functional/functional teams to deliver change management programs including impact analysis, stakeholder management, communications, training, and ensuring successful transition on the Execution team
Demonstrates knowledge of project management initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing processes.
Monitors performance and recommends scope, schedule, cost or resource adjustments; connects short-term demands to long-term implications, in alignment with the supporting business case.
Prioritizes multiple tasks while meeting deadlines; communicates project status (health, forecast, issues, risks, etc.) to stakeholders in an open and honest fashion.
Effectively balances competing project constraints including but not limited to scope, quality, schedule, funding, budget, resources, and risk, to manage project success.
Connects project objectives to broader organizational goals.Negotiates with stakeholders to obtain the resources necessary for successful project execution.
Develops and maintains integrated deployment plan, spanning multiple work streams supporting the Cardinal Health Enterprise Strategy, Planning, and Execution Delivery model
Coordinates among cross-functional tower owners to ensure cohesive alignment (talent acquisition, IT, facilities, project management, etc.) to overall program timeline and objectives
Triages any implementation issues, develop risk & issue log and create mitigation plan(s)
Prepares detailed implementation / deployment plans and implements various transition management tools (e.g. program status updates, templates to track key milestones, etc.)
Leads go-live support to identify, track, and drive resolution of programmatic risks and issues
Qualifications
Bachelors in related field or equivalent work experience, preferred
2+ years of experience in related project management/change management (OCM) field preferred
Global Business Services execution/transition management preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred
Flexible and adaptable; demonstrate good judgement, tact, discretion and diplomacy in decision making authority
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence business partners
Proven ability to effectively prioritize; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and conclude a project

$78,500 - $112,100
