    Job Description

    Are you an experienced Marine Engineer with knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems?

    If so, our team in Glen Burnie, Maryland is looking for individuals to help support the United States Coast Guard and our Ship Design Group

    As a Senior Marine Engineer you will:


    Work within the Maritime Lifecycle Readiness Division to provide engineering support to the United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center.

    A week in the life of a

    Senior Marine Engineer:


    Perform design reviews, evaluate constructability, help resolve technical issues, and manage information generated through the design and construction phases of multiple and concurrent projects.

    Design, develop and evaluate operation of shipboard HVAC & Refrigeration systems.


    Conduct HVAC&R trade studies, reviews and provide comments on new US Coast Guard acquisition cutter and boat HVAC&R system designs.

    Lead engineers in development efforts, reviews of technical data packages.

    Provide engineering support in the analysis of all HVAC&R related technical issues and design challenges.

    Support the US Coast Guard reviewing third party design modifications and improvements.

    Conduct ship visits.

    Develop Engineering Changes of HVAC&R systems.

    Conduct mechanical engineering & psychrometric analysis.

    Research advanced engineering designs and/or applications.

    Prepare technical reports.

    Job Requirements

    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

    Ability to obtain a secret clearance

    6+ years of overall relevant experience

    At least 3+ years of experience in:
    Design, development, installation and operation of shipboard HVAC and/or Refrigeration systems and related equipment.
