    Job Description

    As theMarket Team Leader,you'll have the unique opportunity to work within an integrated Architecture, Engineering, and Construction firm capable of executing ONEsolution integrated project delivery work. Experience collaboration and continuous learning like never before amongst subject matter experts spanning across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process, and automation engineering; architecture and lab planning; procurement, estimation, virtual design & construction, health & safety, and construction management.     How will I contribute?

    The Market Team Leader is responsible for running day-to-day design operations for the office in support of the Office Leader.

    You will oversee and collectively lead a team of design professionals with support from individual Group Leads. You will coordinate closely with other leadership counterparts within the office and region to form a high-performing leadership team.

    You will work closely with the Regional Senior Director of Design to ensure that operational systems and procedures are being successfully and consistently implemented at an office level, both in terms of business operations and project execution.

    You will be accountable for staff billability and will work closely with the respective Group Leads to ensure projects are appropriately staffed and that resource commitments are coordinated. The Market Team Leader is also accountable for ensuring Project Directors / Project Managers meet or exceed all applicable project performance metrics. They are responsible for identifying talent gaps and growth opportunities within their offices and support a key recruiting efforts.

    Approximately 75% of time in this role is spent internally focused on overseeing day-to-day operations with the remaining 25% spent on recruiting and supporting business development activities. You may be required to lead key pursuits and projects in a Project Director capacity, but typically project work should not exceed 50%.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Serve as part of Office leadership team, both optimizing the performance of design project execution teams while furthering an Office's advancement toward a more integrated, ONEsolution model
    • Oversee discipline Group Leads as direct reports and facilitate communication between Group Leads and Project Managers
    • Manage the Office income statement in terms of overhead budgeting and tracking and oversee portfolio of Office projects
    • Identify staff development needs as part of long-term growth and succession planning
    • Support key recruiting efforts for each group and ensure a consistency in hiring from a culture and fit perspective
    • Ensure professional development plans are in place and followed up on for all staff
    • Support BD and Sales efforts with a focus on repeat client work
    • Support GLs as part of resource utilization effort for staff in line with defined objectives
    • Support development of annual business planning / financial targets and associated KPIs
    • Serve as Project Director or Project Manager on select projects
    • Actively engage to support project teams in preventing and/or mitigating claims or disputes on projects.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, or Business-related field
    • 10+ years of experience in design/construction industry
    • 5+ years of experience in Life Sciences industry
    • Experience with design/build integration at a project and operational level
    • Experience with Business Development and Client Management
    • Experience with Business Operations with a proven track record of accountability and profitability
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence a must

    The pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is based in Emeryville is typically $184,800 to $295,600 annually. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. The selected candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, including but not limited to work location, qualifications, and relevant experience. In addition, CRB offers a total rewards package that includes comprehensive insurance coverage as well as the opportunity to participate in one or more annual incentive programs based on company and individual performance.
