- Performs pricing and cost estimating activity for customer RFQ's or new business opportunities
- Prepares financial summaries that help Senior Management understand the financial impact of pursuit to the overall business
- Assists with the strategic planning for proposals regarding Product Lines/Program, Capital/IR&D investment, business case scenarios
- Analyze statement of work (SOW) requirements, bills of material and calculate production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data
- Performs analysis of estimates identifying inconsistencies and issues. Makes comparisons to the results of other programs and points out potential issues and recommends solutions
- Supports the proposal team in establishing financial negotiation strategies
- Identifies and implements opportunities to improve tools utilized by the team or department
- No travel
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
- Working knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles
- Prior government proposal experience preferred
- Ability to solve problems and schedule issues as well as adapt to schedule changes
- Knowledge of rates, pools, pricing & cost structure of the business. Able to identify key factors in cost structure to modify during proposal analysis
- Ability to think logically through in-depth analysis of a problem or situation
- General understanding of regulatory requirements (FAR/DFARS/ESA) rules, policies, and procedures
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task with strong organizational and prioritization skills

The Pricing Analyst is an internal/external customer facing position that is responsible for pricing proposals for the Ejection &Propulsion organization.
This portfolio is located in Fairfield, CA and Colorado Springs, CO.Developing relationships is key as this position works closely with various functional teams; engineering, procurement, program management and operations to prepare audit supportable estimates in support of US Government Proposals.
This role will be performed ONSITE in at our Collins Aerospace location in Cedar Rapids, IA or another qualified Collins Aerospace location.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
