    Ashley, Inc. Seeks Young Adult Peer Recovery Support Associate (YAPRSA)

    About the Role

    The Young Adult Peer Recovery Support Associate (YAPRSA) plays a vital role in improving adolescent engagement and coordination of care for The Clubhouse programming. This position involves facilitating trainings, educational seminars, daily group programming, connecting with new members to provide recovery support resources, and ensuring the clubhouse program connects with adolescent families.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Documentation and Record Keeping: Ensure thorough and timely completion of documentation as per agency and state standards.
    • Evidence-Based Programming: Conduct prevention and resilient family workshops onsite and in Harford County.
    • Youth Support: Provide support for homework, life skills, and activities at The Clubhouse.
    • Intake and Community Resources: Meet with every adolescent member at intake, connect participants and families with community resources for recovery support.
    • Lifesaving Measures: Administer NARCAN in case of an overdose episode and utilize CPR/AED in cardiac arrest situations.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Certification: Obtain certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist within 12 months from hire date from the Maryland Addictions Professional Certification Board (MAPCB).
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalency required.
    • Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, basic written and mathematical skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office.
