    Description

    JOB PURPOSE:
    The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of our company's facilities. Duties include maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance procedures.


    MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:


    Bachelor's degree in Business, Facilities Management, or hard Science major preferred; MBA a plus; will consider depth of experience and managerial practice in lieu of education.


    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
    5+ years of maintenance leadership in progressive roles; 7+ years in a manufacturing environment.


    ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
    (Preferred qualifications)


    • Six-sigma Green/Black Belt Certification and Lean Certification a plus
    • Knowledge of Fiber Optic Industry desirable
    • SAP Experience preferred
    • Proficient in MS Office Excel, Word and Power Point; Acute ability to understand and use data for continuous improvement.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff
    • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
    • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
    • Monitor critical systems of facilities to ensure functionality
    • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
    • Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities
    • Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required
    • Ensure health and safety policies are complied with

    • Must be a safety conscious individual
    • Must have exceptional time management skills
    • Experience in planning maintenance operations
    • Be able to work in dynamically changing environment with competing resource demands
    • Must be organized
    • Needs to be "metric driven" and aspire to meet deadlines and goals

    • Must be a good communicator and approachable and have the ability to teach others
    • Must be a good leader who wants to help others succeed
    • Needs to be patient
    • Needs to be able to communicate both up and down the leadership chain with confidence
