    Director of IT - Job Description

    Our client, a leading provider of document management solutions for various industries including healthcare, is actively seeking a Director of IT. This critical role is responsible for aligning IT strategy with business objectives, and leading the teams involved in software development, quality assurance, systems administration, and DevOps to drive technological innovation and oversee the implementation of IT initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leadership & Strategy: Guide the development and support operations that maintain an enterprise-level SaaS environment, achieving the strategic objectives established by executive management.
    • Team Management: Oversee IT staffing processes, including recruitment, training, and management of performance, with a focus on mentoring, and resolving workplace issues.
    • Technology Oversight: Manage the development and implementation of scalable and secure technology systems and infrastructure, ensuring these align with the latest industry standards.
    • Innovation & Compliance: Evaluate cutting-edge technologies for strategic benefits and compliance with federal security and ADA requirements.
    • Operational Excellence: Maintain high-performance, uptime, and data integrity across all technology operations, ensuring continuity through disaster recovery and backup procedures.

    Required Skills & Expertise:

    • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in software development, AWS cloud architecture, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Proficient in LAMP stack architecture and coding in PHP, Python, JavaScript, and AJAX.
    • Security and Compliance: Strong knowledge of IT security best practices and experience with establishing security standards.
    • Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Leadership: Proven leadership abilities with a track record of motivating teams and successfully managing large-scale technology projects.

    Educational Background:

    • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
    • Preferred Education: Master's degree or MBA.
    • Certifications: Certifications like ITIL, PMP, or AWS are beneficial.

    Professional Experience:

    • Software Development: Minimum of 10 years experience in developing enterprise-grade software.
    • Leadership Experience: At least 10 years in a leadership role managing technical teams.
