    Job Title: Optical Sales Associate

    We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Full-time Optical Sales Associate in Hastings, NE.

    About the Role:

    This is an exciting opportunity to build meaningful relationships with our patients and communities through a rewarding career in eye care. As an Optical Sales Associate, you will have the chance to provide excellent patient and customer service, selecting, ordering, and dispensing eyewear, while also preparing work orders for our Optical Lab and processing medical billing information.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide exceptional customer and patient service according to company standards.
    • Analyze patient eyewear needs and recommend specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames.
    • Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally.
    • Assist patients with proper frame repairs and adjustments.
    • Show patients how to insert, remove, and care for their contact lenses.
    • Assist Optometrists with case histories and screenings.

    Requirements:

    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • Maintain license as required by state.
    • Ability to become certified through Shopko OCE Certification requirements.
    • Previous experience in an office or optical dispensing environment preferred.

    Essential Functions and Work Requirements:

    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
    • Able to read and write at a high school graduate level.
    • Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
    • Able to operate various office equipment.
    • Ability to lift 10-20 pounds.
    • Ability to see (Near, Distance, Color, and Depth Perception).
    • Manual and finger dexterity, as well as hand/arm steadiness.
    • Ability to grip and hold items.
    • Good eye and hand coordination.
    • Able to operate a cash register and various optical equipment.

    Estimated Salary Range: $25,000 - $35,000 per year.
