    The Role in Brief:

    Principal Salesforce Architect

    As a Principal Salesforce Architect, you will leverage your expertise in consulting, client relations, and technology to assist clients in navigating digital business transformations. From designing and architecting solutions on the Salesforce platform for large-scale digital strategies to focused proofs-of-concept on new technologies, you will play a crucial role. The ideal candidate will bring a driven attitude, a collaborative approach, and a dedication to problem-solving.     This position allows for remote work within the contiguous United States or the choice to be located in either our Washington, DC, or Richmond, VA office.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and architect solutions on the Salesforce platform ensuring coherent information architecture, visual standards, and interaction patterns across multiple platforms
    • Create solutions using the Salesforce CPQ sales contracting tool
    • Lead the integration of Salesforce with other systems and custom extensions
    • Act as the technical expert on projects impacting the Salesforce platform, involving significant work in Apex, VisualForce, and Java
    • Document designs and progress for team members
    • Create post-launch materials for reference by sustaining teams
    • Identify and resolve performance issues, communicate risks and opportunities
    • Collaborate with the development team on existing and new applications
    • Provide training to junior engineers and support staff

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 6+ years of enterprise consulting and software development experience
    • Extensive experience in implementing Salesforce and Salesforce CPQ with increasing complexity
    • Hands-on experience with Salesforce software solutions
    • Knowledge of common design patterns with boundary systems
    • Experience with Enterprise Integration tools and methodologies
    • Understanding of cloud and enterprise integration concepts
    • Ability to optimize business processes through technology
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Detail-oriented with a proactive learning attitude
    • Experience with integrating Web Services

    Ideal Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
    • 8+ years of Solutions Architecture experience, with significant time in Salesforce architecture
    • Experience with Salesforce integration in ERP software solutions
    • Knowledge of data reporting or analytic infrastructures
    • Leadership in deploying emerging technology for business applications

    Compensation:

    The starting salary for this role ranges from $91,000 to $135,000 annually, subject to experience and location factors. Additional variable compensation may apply based on performance and other criteria.
