Career Opportunity: Cardiovascular Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Norman Regional Health System.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing and assisting in cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient care in a sterile environment. This position requires an accredited background in Radiologic or Cardiovascular Technology and various certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

Responsibilities:

• Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
• Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
• Maintain a sterile environment.
• Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training.
• Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
• Promote strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care.

Requirements:

• A graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
• At least one year of experience working in a Cath Lab, preferably with registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
• BLS certification is required; ACLS training must be achieved within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
