Duties Assigned to the Position:

• Provides sustaining magnetic design engineering support for existing products.
• Designs and develops new magnetic products which expand our market and sustain growth and profitability.
• Self-supporting coil design
• Power, pulse, and flyback transformer design.
• Basic circuit knowledge, inductors
• Redesigns existing products for improved profitability, performance, quality and reliability.
• Searches out and introduces new materials and technologies for existing or new products.
• Creates designs, giving weighted consideration to such design factors as correct functioning, availability of materials, ease of manufacture, serviceability and replace ability, cost and design trends.
• Checks design components, details and specifications and do technical research, investigation and reporting.
• Develops basic design data, sketches and notes necessary to prepare the design preparational for layout in detail on a computer.
• Prepares design, specifications, estimates and reports involved in project. Prepares work schedules and issues work assignments.

Requirements:

• Education: Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Physics or equivalent education, training, or experience.
