- Under general direction, identifies, evaluates, and prepares remedial activities for student who exhibit speech-language disorders; participates in the development of individualized goals and objectives; and evaluates student progress all in a virtual environment.
- Identify students with speech and language handicaps through evaluations using standardized tests and authentic assessment activities.
- Assist in developing curriculum guides and local policies for speech and language handicaps.
- Provide tele-services for schools and communities related to speech and language handicaps.
- Deliver speech/language services to students in classrooms, adhering to HIPPA/FERPA regulations, either individually or in small groups.
- Plan coherent programs of study that demonstrate subject matter knowledge, incorporate best practices, and lead to desired learning outcomes.
- Tailor programs of study to meet individual student needs, interests, and abilities, including developing appropriate Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs).
- Understand and address the unique characteristics of students from diverse ethnic groups, cultures, and ability levels.
- Develop instructional plans that facilitate student access and progression in the general curriculum, with clear objectives for all activities.
- Communicate goals and objectives clearly to parents, students, and other stakeholders.
- Attend parent conferences as needed.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and resources appropriate to student needs.
- Continuously assess student learning needs and use data to plan interventions.
- Prepare and implement written lesson plans based on the course of study.
- Foster a respectful and positive classroom environment consistent with school and district policies.
- Communicate effectively in both written and oral forms.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required by law and district policy.
- Establish and maintain positive communication with parents.
- Adhere to professional ethics and licensure standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and membership in professional organizations.
- Collaborate with county and district personnel.
- Maintain required licenses and certifications.
- Ensure regular and punctual attendance.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Board Policy and professional standards.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Serves as a role model for educators and students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings.
- Helps instill in students and staff the belief in and practice of ethical principles.
- Train Facilitator regarding best practices in Teletherapy setting
- Candidate will be trained by internal VocoVision clinical supervisors*
