Job description
Position Title: Kids Club Attendant
Reports to: Assistant manager, Kids Club Lead, and General Manager
Compensation: $9/Hour
Requirements: Fluent in English, proficient reading and writing skills, computer skills
Special Skills: Strong customer service skills, Patience in dealing with children and customers, and passionate about fitness
Responsibilities:
- Lead activities, games and other approved activities for the children in the Kid's Club area
- Provide child care to children and follow appropriate discipline procedures
- Notify parent/guardian if necessary to attend to personal needs (i.e., diaper changing)
- Administer first aid to children in accordance with company policy
- Review copy of Kid's Club policies and procedures with parents
- Report any incidents to Kid's Club Lead, Assistant Manager and Club Manager
- Report all member complaints to Kid's Club Lead or Assistant Manager
- Report any child health concerns to Kid's Club Lead or Assistant Manager so a Health Alert may be posted if required
- Responsible for general cleaning duties and disinfecting toys
- Ensure parent/guardian follows proper checking in and checking out of children (up to date account, wristband, etc)
- Perform daily periodic "team cleans" of the facility to maintain the kids club clean, safe and clutter free.
- Communicate special events to members and guests.
- Maintain an atmosphere which makes members and kids feel welcome.
- Facilitate all member requests or forward to a manager.
- Maintain professional dispositions at all times.
- Assist in all projects as delegated by club management, assistant manager or kids club lead.
- Follow all policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
- Opening and closing duties.
Meetings:
- Monthly or Weekly Department Meetings
- Employee Training Meetings
Experience:
• 6-12 months child care experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand, pick up children, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk, talk and hear
• Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
