    The Role:

    The Electrical & Controls Team Leader will manage the hourly E/C technicians on technical topics, locating/ordering materials and disciplinary matters.

    The Electrical & Controls Team Leader will provide leadership and technical support to the bargaining unit maintenance Electrical & Controls (E&C) Technicians within the Keokuk facility.

    What You'll Do:
    • Directs and oversees the day-to-day work activities of skilled maintenance Electrical & Controls team based on established plans to ensure quality of work while minimizing disruption to production and costs.
    • Help on field training for E/C BU when needed.
    • Converts notifications and generates work orders for necessary work being performed.
    • Responsible for directing contractor work force and decisions regarding the need for electrical contractors.
    • Establishes short-term activities directed toward work continuity and balance, such as shift schedules, job priorities, material availability, preventive inspections, and grievance resolutions.
    • Ensure environmental systems compliance verification is done accurately, on time, and proper reporting is handled correctly.
    • Leads E/C maintenance team to comply with GMP/housekeeping standards.
    • Oversees development, document, training and execution of E&C preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
    • Assists area planners in order to ensure the completion of all E/C scheduled works with Priority 3-4 and 5.
    • Define with Area planners the right parts, SOP or task lists and other resources to execute the E/C works. As well as if it is needed contractors to execute works when needed.
    • Coordinates and integrates with Area Maintenance Team Leaders to ensure support in the E/C scheduled works.
    • Provides quotations to maintenance support group for purchasing and requisitioning.
    • Responsible to assist in job layout and maintenance of wiring and process related standards during installation.
    • Assist in development of standardized work methods, standardized hardware, and standardized system design (plant wide). Contribute to the development of standard wiring methods, standardizing programming methods.
    • Personal involvement with spare parts inventories for newly installed and existing systems with emphasis on minimum inventory and maximum benefit from that inventory. Assist in minimizing inventory cost through standardization and reducing unnecessary stock.
    • Assists in PM notification creation and implementation.

    What You'll Need:
    • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent electrical and controls technical experience preferred
    • 3 or more years' experience in utility or industrial electrical and controls systems
    • 1 or more years' experience in a leadership position, managing people or exhibits strong leadership potential
    • Demonstrates high level electrical troubleshooting and root cause problem solving skills.
    • Working knowledge and understanding of motor starters, VFD's (variable frequency drivers), control valves, KV valves, BMS (burner management systems), meters, switches, transmitters, and other control related devices as an informational resource
    • Provide support for in-depth testing and validation of control devices utilizing a volt-ohm-meter, megger, amp meter, filed communicator, and other test and configuration equipment
