Job Title: Emergency Services Dispatcher

This position provides emergency response services to aircraft personnel as well as police, fire and medical services to the public by answering emergency 911 calls.

• Answers emergency 911 calls and determines nature of call according to established guidelines;
• Performs EMD services for callers with medical emergencies;

This position has a positive degree requirement or education forms basis for qualifications.

Accordingly this job requires an associate's degree or two years' higher level school education OR one year appropriate specialized experience that includes knowledge of communications operations including word processing data retrieval input using standardized transportation regulations procedures federal state laws policies procedures related dispatch function resolve response problems proper use communications radios determine information individuals current geographic area maps plot grid coordinates read map scales recognize symbols characteristics capacity dispatched vehicles coordinate actions vehicle safety rules guidance automated databases maintain logs records contingency operation real world exercise situations direct CPR certification participates recurrent proficiency training maintains security clearance.
