Description

We are seeking an exceptional Founding Network Engineer with a deep understanding of distributed systems and extensive experience in Ethereum and its inner workings.

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and operating a scalable, secure, and performant node operator network.

Collaborating closely with the founders and other team members, you will shape our company's vision and strategy while contributing to the growth of the ecosystem.

In this role, you will:
Build, maintain, and operate a highly scalable, secure, and performant node operator network.
Design, implement, and deploy network protocols, consensus algorithms, and other components of a peer-to-peer (p2p) network.
Develop and maintain end-to-end tests, integration tests, and stress tests for the network to ensure its reliability and performance.
Monitor and maintain the security and health of the network, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Strong background and extensive experience in distributed systems and network engineering.
In-depth understanding of Ethereum and its inner workings, including consensus mechanisms such as PoS, mempool, and P2P networking.
Experienced with replication and consistency models, fault tolerance schemes and most importantly distributed transaction management.
Familiarity with algorithms like RAFT, Casper, Gasper, and SWIM.
Solid grasp of L2 scaling techniques with rollups and transaction compression.
Extensive understanding of data structures and finite state machines.
Highly skilled in Golang with experience in building blockchain networks using libp2p.
Experience in designing and implementing network protocols, consensus algorithms, and other essential components of a blockchain network.
Proven track record of writing end-to-end tests, integration tests, and stress tests for distributed systems.
Experience in monitoring and maintaining network security and health.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and deliver high-quality results.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take initiative and lead projects.

Nice to have:
Knowledge of cryptography and blockchain security.
Experience in building and maintaining high-performance networks at scale.
Familiarity with open-source development practices and contributor communities.
